Worsening Vertigo

I've been struggling with vertigo off and on for over 15 years.  Over time, it slowly dissipated but, in the last 2 years, it has returned - with a vengeance - especially in the past year.  I have seen 2 ENT specialists - the first one who was dismissive of my symptoms and made it seem like I was a fool.  My primary doctor referred me to an ENT that she knows and likes and he was much more accepting of trying to investigate what my symptoms are attributed to.  In the last week, the vertigo has worsened to such a degree that it is affecting how I walk - I seem to be leaning to the left side which is also the same side where I have fluctuating hearing loss, pressure, and tinnitus.  After consulting with the medical assistant, she spoke to the doctor who has scheduled me for a VNG balance test.  After talking to the MA today, the doctor decided to have me in come in on Friday at 11:30am for an emergency consultation.  I don't know what he plans to do, but nothing over-the-counter seems to be working.  I almost left work today to go home because it was affecting me so badly and I had a bad headache.  Please say some prayers that the doctor and I can figure out how to stop the vertigo attacks - it was so bad last week, that I almost fell in the shower during an attack.  My doctor suspects I have Meniere's disease - unfortunately, the same disease my aunt has suffered from for over 30 years.
