dUSt
I'd definitely be down with purchasing an all Catholic island and starting a new all Catholic civilization. That'd be very dope. Who says we need an island? Let's buy some land in central TX and build our own city.

[/quote] that's what Athanasia's planning on doing, we're gonna be a small Catholic Kingdom. it's all being planned out as we speak by me, raphael, confessionator, cimlog, and -I---Love(though she kindof objects to the monarchy idea, but she goes back and forth) I named it Athanasia after St. Athanasius, but now i found out there's some saint named "St. Athanasia" who i don't know anything about, so it might be Athanasios or something. pAx

And, I'd definitely like to see the Vatican take back all of Rome, if not the former Papal States. Edited June 23, 2004 by Archbishop 10-K
Crusader_4
What if they did this...and i consider it realistic. Every single church owned Propery: parish halls, universities, monasterys, hospitals, became sort of like Embassys in other words they would all be part of the vatican....So it would be like your walking down the street and you see a church and it is not in Canada but actualy the Vatican. Therfore all these buildings abide to the Vaticans laws and such can take sancturary and are under diplomatic protection. Just an idea
crusader1234
This would cause a big probelm with regards to Priests having diplomatic immunity, especially in the cases with the scandals going around. It is an idea though.
Crusader_4
well you could make it so the priests would not be nucios (or whatever they are called) and the priests have to abide by the laws of the state to which they are citizens. I dunno i have always thought it would be a kewl idea though.

But only A BIT more realistic. Countries would be very uneasy in giving up property on such a mass scale as that. Why? The same reason Henry VIII took over the Church in England. Same reason why no U.S. President was Catholic until Kennedy. Same reason why the Church in China is forced underground. Governments are afraid of the Pope taking over...... ..... and they should be, MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! BTW, does anyone know if it's permissible to wave a Vatican City flag outside a parish? I have never seen this before, but I know in some other churches there is a U.S. flag and a "Christian" flag.

I mean, I've seen that before in front of parishes, so it must be okay.
