Confused about boyfriends discernment

Hi I've been battling with myself whether or not I should post onto this forum or not for almost a year but I feel like I've come to such a low point I'm hoping I can get some kind of uplifting advice.

A year ago my boyfriend of 2 years told me he felt a calling to priesthood, he was always active in the church but it was something I couldn't comprehend. This was the same guy who had just flew to California to get my brothers blessing for us to be together, the same guy who had discussed marriage and kids with me. Over the past year we've remained friends to a certain extent and I try my hardest to not let my feelings get in the way so he has a fruitful discernment and open mind when processing this all. I want him to completely immerse himself into it and not be a distraction so that way he can come to somewhat of an answer. I told him I'd always be around and his family is constantly calling and checking up on me.

In the past month he has recently told me it might not be his calling but he doesn't want to give up yet. A part of me was really happy but I felt selfish because God needs him to work through him as a priest. I don't know if I should allow him to just come back into my life just yet..is anyone going through this that can offer some advice? Please and thank you

Basically the same thing happened to my sister and her (now) husband.  They're now married with six kids.

All I can say is each individual case appears to be different - without knowing you or your bf, not much more of use I can say.  (But this should at least let you know not to give up all hope yet.)
