I just received the OLAM news letter in the mail.  They had a community picture taken however, the 2 novices and 1 postulant were not in the picture and the pics on their webpage are old.  Prayers for their community.

That doesn't mean they are not there!

Did you go to their website and check the "Media" listing and check out the "Photo gallery"?!

Yes, Nikita, did you see my comment? The pics on their website are old.  It looks like it hasn't been updated in a long while

There are also a few junior professed missing as well.  Hmm......  I guess I was shocked when my copy arrived today.  I knew the number of nuns was down, but wow!  Lot's of missing faces.  Prayers for them, of course.

I received their newsletter also.  I was very surprised to see that Sr. Mary Agnes was not in the picture.  My goodness that's a large monastery for just the handful of nuns left.  Prayers that they will continue and flourish.

How many nuns are left?  They used to have so many nuns, hence, they have founded and refounded house/s.  I still have not read the book written by Raymond Arroyo.  Does anyone here got free pdf /ebookcopy?  Buying books from the USA and shipping them to the Philippines is very expensive!  The cost of shipping fee is almost the same price of the actual book!

The nuns from Charlotte are in the pic.  Mother Dolores Marie, Sr. Marie Therese, Sr. Immaculata, the 2 who transferred in from OLAM and are now back, and Sr. ? (can't remember her name - she's from Ireland and a real sweetie). So that takes care of 6 of them.  I also don't see Br. Leo's sister, whose name I also cannot remember for the life of me.  Actually, when looking at the pic, I don't see a few solemn professed either.  I wonder if some others transferred to another order or just went out.  Not really my business, but since I've followed them for so many years, it can't be helped!  :))

I know what you mean, Francis Clare.  I've followed OLAM for about 25 years.  I remember the old habit, the habit switch and when Sr. Mary Agnes had braces and watched her make her final profession! Someone called in to Mother's show after that and asked why such a pretty young woman would want to be a Nun.  I can still hear Mother's response............!
