Food for thought. I'm afraid I just don't have the money. I'll consider going if I get a surplus, but that might not be for a while.
Nihil Obstat
Do they offer health insurance through the seminary?

Being an Australian, where we do not have the system that I know of, what about these organizations that help out those wishing to enter religious life with paying off their debt. Would they be willing to help out a seminarian in a good cause? I should imagine that a priest is on his feet a good deal of the time and one would need healthy legs? Or even "crowd funding"? Prayer for you, PP - and your vocation.
Anomaly
I've got to laugh at some of this. Get a firm, two handed grip on adulthood, self responsibility and live in the real world. Before you go off, running (well, limping/shuffling) to a Doctor, taking vitamins, eating bananas, treat it as is reasonable. Go to WebMD or another sane medical site such as Mayo, etc. You didn't suffer a traumatic injury, You're still mobile, you can and have tolerated the pain, you're young and without significant health issues. A legit medical site will confirm what i and cappie told you about shin splints and how to treat them. It can be done with a little $ for Motrin, ice, rest, patience, and avoiding extreme activities for a little while. Still climb stairs as needed in a reasonable manner, don't go jogging, don't avoid all walking. As a Catholic, you can do well to mindfully offer up the temporary purgation of sore shins and be awed at the providence of a body that can heal itself. Toughen up, cupcake. I can tell you that it isn't going to get easier after a couple of decades. Now is always a good time to learn how to reasonably care for yourself. There are plenty more aches and pains to come. I wasn't planning to go to the doctor. I know it's not that big of a deal, which is why I asked for advice on how to heal my shins here.
Anomaly
I didn't think so but I thought you might get pushed to that direction. Or even worse: shamed and bullied into the horror of eating a banana that wasn't going to help.

"Go to webmd to diagnose yourself" said no dr ever.
