It seems that Clinton lost because she could not carry the same huge percentage of minority and women voters that Obama did the last time around. She was not a strong candidate at all. I thought that pretty much any other Republican would have defeated her easily, but doubted that Trump could because he is terrible too.

Ive been changing channels here and I thought I saw he won both electoral and popular...I'm not wearing my glasses though... google's map still has some states shaded in pink, like those states votes haven't been counted toward the popular vote yet? I'm sure you're correct...
Peace
Kennedy, Ginsburg and Breyer are all up there in age. If Trump makes good on his promises there seems to be some real potential for the Supreme Court.

Isn't it obvious the Democrats just elected a lame duck because both parties wanted a puppet of the Corporate Oligarchy in the White House? Shoulda voted Libertarian. Anomaly
12 minutes ago, Peace said: All right Republicans. Ya'll control the world. Lower my taxes!! According to a local political science professor, the vote was less than for a particular party's candidate, but more as a vote against the same-ol divisive political parties. Trump was not universally supported by Republicans while Hillary was supported by the Democratic Machine. This is a rare opportunity to move beyond the destruction of the "opponent" and do something a little different. It's probably the closest we will get to a third party President for some time. It's up to us to choose how we react and participate in our Government. Will our personal behaviors and choices further devolve our political process? Or will we do our best to find and develop what is good in ourselves and those we disagree with or dislike?

Anomaly
I see Colorado Propsition 106 approved Doctor Assisted Suicide. Prop 106 was heavily supported by the "nice" party, Democrats. (And the majority also voted for Hillary). It was called "medical aid in dying" and a "healthcare right for the aged disabled". Perhaps the Dems getting trounced so bad this time will force them to move right. Or maybe they will try to move even further left. We shall see. dairygirl4u2c
republicans won because they were able to dupe the electorate.... socialism. we spend two or three percent of our GDP on helping the poor. abortion. most people support most abortion, trying to change that is futile. people have been voting on that issue along for fortry years with nothing worth mentioning to show for it. doing the same thing and expecting different results is the definition of insanity. guns. almost no one is going to take your guns. even if they overturned that recent supreme court case that says guns are a fundamental right, 99.9 percent of the country isn't going to take your gun. jobs. any job gains that might come from cutting taxes, which is the only real difference with clinton, will be short lived. long term, he is going to run up the debt much more massively than clinton ever would, and there will be reckoning for teh bubble tax cuts would cause. foreign issues. he says he'd commit acts of war if other counties are rude ('blow em out of the water'), says he knows more than generals, wants more nukes around the world. he's unhinged. any claim he has to being better is hot air as even he admits he wont give details. hillary's corruption. getting a speeding ticket is more serious than her email scandal, than the privaete server anyway. she was just as likely to be hacked as any cgovernment server too, so you can use that. the only possible bad things are the delted emails and broken smart phones, but that only would indicate that she did corrupt things, not that she is corrupt. really they couldn't prove she intended to do wrong here anyway, that's why nothing came of it. trumps fans and hte media overlooked all the corrupt thing trump has done like the trump foudnation fraud etc. healthcare. they have no alternative. if you repeal the obamacare, mmillions will loose their insurance and many will die. not fixing that could be political but definitely moral suicide. there are a lot of people who have pet issues like the above. they have been duped. you can look at the issues individually or wholistically, either way they have been duped.
