Anomaly
Not to be a Dennis Downer, but who checks on the organizations that can post there? For example, I saw a number of organizations soliciting funds for Hurricane Matthew relief. Who are they really? How much is going to actual aid and for what? Things are complicated in Haiti. Many relief organizations there also have political agendas on who and way money is spent on. I strongly recommend Catholic Relief Services where 90% goes to aid and they are well established in Haiti. Although I'm sure many of these requests are legitimate, still check them out if possible. NadaTeTurbe
I understand your concerns. When it comes to this kind of website, I use it to support very local project (like building a convent, supporting a pregnant woman). For bigger things, I give to "big" NGO (I give to the Order of Malta and Jesuit Refugee Service).
