Please help (using the phorum)!

I need help relating to my participation in the phorum; technicalities relating to registration, to be particular. What should I do, whom should I ask (privately) ?

I used http://www.phatmass.com/phorum/contact/  Is that enough?

I hope you have help soon.  I know  little myself.  

I'll ask a question also  maybe we will both get an answer.   I saw someone with the  status?  phishy  what is that?  Is it like fishy  I mean I get that you use ph for f    but does phishy mean it is a bot or that someone is not who they say they are or perhaps dangerous?

Phishy means someone is Catholic but has said things contrary to Church teaching without changing when corrected. It's meant to prevent confusion from people who see what is posted here and think what they say might be Church teaching.

Depending on what your questions are, a Mediator of Meh might be able to help. (Maybe a Mediator of Meh could respond to this post?) Unfortunately, you need to make 100 posts before you are allowed to send private messages. (Somewhere in Open Mic there is a Rosary thread that would let you reach 100 posts pretty quickly.) The "contact" page was the correct thing to do. However, that page goes directly to dUSt and you may or may not get an answer quickly. dUSt is VERY busy!

If your question is whether you are welcome as an Eastern Catholic, you are. There are others. Heck, Phatmass has welcomed me and I'm not Catholic at all. However, most Phatmass members are Roman Catholic, so I keep that in mind when posting.

The help I need is to move to a password-based account. I don't want to use FB for this at all. (I joined this way only because I couldn't join with a password. (Maybe that can be fixed as well?)) When I noticed the following thread, I posted in it. http://www.phatmass.com/phorum/topic/142338-technical-question-what-could-be-lamer/

(I am an Eastern Catholic (how did you know that, btw! Mind-reader!) but also have some other identities as well so I'd thought I'd ask phorum members in a "Hello" thread whether I'm welcome with all of that. )

I think you can go into your account settings and remove your Facebook connection from your account.

You cannot disassociate Facebook because you have no other method of signing in.

Solved it!

To disassociate FB, I first have to set a password. But I couldn't do that in my settings. 

But I could simply use the "I lost my password" to set a new password !!!! 

Now, I have disassociated FB and have what I want.

BTW <3 Pope Francis, you haven't stated your religion in the section to the left of your posts.

To do this, go into your profile (you do this by clicking on your avatar). To the left of the page you are given a number of choices to state your religion, and one choice is Catholic. As you may notice, my religion is stated as Protestant. I don't personally consider myself Protestant--I'm not protesting anything--but an Anglican, Anglo-Catholic (the Anglican equivalent of a traddie ) or perhaps, if I wanted to confuse people, a Tractarian. (you can look it up). Still, "Protestant" was the choice offered that best described my beliefs, and communicates clearly that I'm not Catholic. (Although there are more varieties of Protestant than I can count--I don't handle snakes or wear Amish clothes--to name two varieties of Protestant. And I certainly don't believe Catholics are not true Christians--that's hogwash.)
