I would concur with PC if you have any questions feel free to ask or post. Spiritual desolation can be a hard time but God maybe trying your patience to see how much you really love Him. I have put some good information on my website on Catholic FAQ along with other items you may find of interest. Hananiah
Morph, if you're interested I'm currently doing a critical study of the NAB as compared to traditional Catholic teaching on Scripture. I'll try to finish the first part (Genesis) tonight.
Hananiah
I composed this prayer to St. Jospeh after reading part of the St. Joseph edition of the NAB. In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Noble Joseph, foster father of Our Lord, chaste spouse of Our Lady, and Patron of the Universal Church: look with kindness on the wayward disciples of your Son. For there are some who have attached your name to blasphemy; who have used you as a Trojan horse for heretical religion; who, while professing devotion to you and your Divine Son, have promoted ideas inimical to the Catholic faith for which your family stands. I pray you, do not turn away in disgust from such as these, but accept my humble apologies on their behalf, and pray without ceasing for their conversion to the fullness of the Catholic faith. For the glory of God and the salvation of souls may they repent! I also pray you, St. Joseph, to guide and protect all who are in danger of being deceived through the abuse of your holy name. St. Joseph, as you rescued Our Lord from Herod, so rescue His brothers from Hartman. Please obtain for all who read the New American Bible the following graces: wisdom, that they may see through the scholarly pretensions of the heretics and recognize the Holy Scriptures for what they are, namely perfect; fidelity, that they may always remain in submission to the infallible proclamations of the Catholic Church; fortitude, that they may hold fast to the Catholic faith against all who would lead them out; and love, that they may not resent the false teachers but rather pray with righteous fervor for their salvation, joining their prayers to yours and mine. In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

[/quote] dude, i can't wait to see that. i mentioned--only half-jokingly--over at catholicboard.com that we should go thru the entire commentary in the NAB and compile all the errors. that would be a task, but what a useful one! i've always heard that the NAB is BS (like my use of the alphabet there?), so it'll be cool to see the proof. make sure u let us know as soon as u finish. pax christi, phatcatholic
