Statues A-ok

Due to the lack of a local Catholic radio station, I usually listen to a Bible-thumpin' radio station (which actually has some pretty good stuff, which surprised me)...at any rate...

I was listening this morning to their news broadcast while driving to work, and in it they "report[ed] with concern" that a group of Protestant communities which make up some sort of organization that is a direct descendant from the American Puritans declared over the weekend that "the use of statuary, images and icons as seen in the Roman Catholic Church" is not idolatry, but can be a vehicle for salvation.

Can I get a confirmation of this? Have we begun to win the war against Protestant iconoclasm?

Puritans in the past were vehemently anti Catholic, and not Anglican.
They came to America to flee from the Anglican faith pushued by England.

Are not Anglicans what we call in America, Episcopels? Believe me, they have relics.

Have I misinterpreted what you said?

No, you got it in one. They are pretty much the only protestants who allow relics.

I edited my previous post to clarify.

Back to the topic at hand ... maybe this will be the beginning of a slippery slope (of the good kind)? In other words, could it be that perhaps Protestants who believe other nonsensical things about Catholics will come around?
