<3 PopeFrancis
I don't know about much about the schisms. I wish Predestination in Predestination: by Garrigou-Lagrange incidentally @Nihil Obstat created a schism on Predestination a kind of Relativism. <3 PopeFrancis
A scene in Karate Kid "wax-on wax-off" by ChaZalsca on YouTube. I mention it because it was a scene played over in my mind. This is what this movement is advancing.
Quasar
I couldn't acces the vid at the top of this thread, but I was motivated to research and find out what exactly fssp and sppx are. That was interesting! Now I wonder if some of the schismatic orders are schismatic due to affiliation with sppx. May we all be united under Rome soon. An argument even against Pelagianism and Semipelagianism the council of Quiersy says "That some are saved, is the gift of Him who saves." Against pelagianism "That some perish, is the fault of those who perish." Reginald Garrigou-Lagrange says "...Destruction is thy own, O Israel; thy help is only in me." pg. 15. The theologian must bear in mind that just as God permits evil only for the sake of a greater good, so He permits conflicting heresies for the sole reason that thus the sublimity and value of truth may, by way of contrast, stand out more prominently. ... We must then profit by these opposing heresies, but never at the expense of detracting from the sublimity and value of truth..." pg. 28 I do not mean to quote all but this reflects my sentiments. There's a lot of misinformation about the SSPX on the internet. Their situation is quite complex and doesn't fit into easy-to-understand canonical categories. Most often they're simply (accurately) referred to as "irregular". However, they have been in talks with Rome for many years, and recently there has been talk of making them a personal prelature, like Opus Dei. Rome would not consider making a bunch of schismatics a personal prelature, so... 7 hours ago, Maggyie said: Hi, I reported your post. Maybe you want to delete it?
