Church's having Adoration on Thursdays.

My former parish has adoration all day in the church on Thursday followed by benediction and Mass. The rest of the week there's perpetual adoration in a chapel.

Sounds like a great place; you should probably move back there. :proud:

My campus ministry has it Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Plus confession like all the bleeping time. Dominicans... sheesh.

I worked right next to SLU for 6 months and had no idea that's what the Billiken is.

Well, obviously the Billiken wormed his way into your brain when you were working in such close proximity, and he had his effect on you!

I'm partial to Ganesha, myself.  Any religion which has a god specially assigned to the task of removing obstacles has an attraction to me.  I also like Ho Tai, the kitchen god of the Chinese.  Bacchus is OK, I am fond of wine, but Ho Tai seems to cover all the bases where food is concerned.  :clapping:

This makes me think of the little kitchen witch I inherited from my grandma.  Every household in my family has one, it's not a religious thing for us though, just a Scandinavian folk tale.  She is supposed to help you watch the stove and keep things from burning.  (Didn't mean to get off subject!)

Here's a thing that should be:  If there are no good candidates for an election, we should be able to vote "no" instead of having to pick one, if someone gets enough nos, there has to be a new election with different candidates.
