Archangel Raphael
That's ok Leviticus has ALOT of good stuff, not just simple customs. Ppl often think "That's just a custom God made up for Jews" Yea well everything God does has a purpose, even a physical purpose. I learned some months ago that pigs carry alot of internal parasites. And that 80% of Americans have parasites within them, mostly who don't know it either. God forbade anyone to eat a scavenger, and scavengers eat ANYTHING. So your eating a scavenger whom you have no idea what that thing was eating, and that junk being put into their cells and into the meat your eating. Which is why I only eat turkey bacon and turkey pepperoni now

the lumberjack
1. I don't think our salvation is something to laugh about 2. Why don't I get a green sign for being so cool?
1. I agree 2. ....not a mod...can't say. as for my thoughts on your thoughts, as I said, you must think I'm here to convert people from Christ to....Christ? yeah, that makes sense. you can all point out how false my religion or blah blah blah is, but you know, I really don't care... what I'm trying to do is help Christians be better Christians... and if you can't see that, then its not really my problem. I know the Lord is working on me, and thats all that matters to me... so, while I don't think our...sorry, MY salvation or YOUR salvation is nothing to laugh about, it IS rather funny that I (as well as other "Protestants") get labeled as a Spiritual WARNING. but hey, thats life, right? riiiiiiiiiiiiight. Christ first.

Aloysius
i think it's funny :rotfl: i don't think anyone should get offended by it, it's just one of those cool things. like if dUSt had been able to change "warnings levels" to "sin levels", it would've been a cool lil thing adding to the flavor of PhatMass. Would you have gotten mad and been like "hey, the mods can't determine my level of sin!" no, you'd have just laughed and been like, what a cool little PhatMass gimick. it's just a cool PhatMass gimick in my book pAx
Archbishop 10-K
I think a non-Catholic label is good, but the "spiritual warning" part is a bit out of hand. It suggests we don't have enough faith (but Protestants do this also, so this is not a new invention.) As for lumberjack's sig, I think it's a bit egotistical to call yourself a saint, even though you may not believe in the communion or intercession of saints. I say this because the general opposite of "saint" is "sinner", and we must all admit humbly that we are sinners. Although the New Testament calls living people "saints", it wasn't a self-appointed title.
Aloysius
no one needs to look through all that paperwork to know what the Church teaches, it's a lot simpler than everyone on the outside lookin in thinks it is. and
If the Catholic Church is THE church founded by Christ, I'm bloody Mary Poppins.
that's true, if the Roman Catholic Church is THE ONLY Church founded by Christ, you're Mary Poppins and I'm the tooth fairy! I mean come one, He founded the Maronite Catholic Church, the Ukranian Catholic Church, the Byzantine Catholic Church, and all that! lol gotchya there remember, Protestants named us the "Roman Catholic Church", all we named ourselves was "The Christian Church" and "The Catholic Church" pAx
jasJis
unlike the Ocean of Paperwork that the Catholic Church floats on like the Titanic, eh? oh well... I still love you all, though no one might believe me.
lumberjack, I say what I believe, and accept whatever chastisement dUSt wishes to dish out. I've known him long enough that he's very fair and am surprised and disappointed about the red letters. I have a strong love for non-Catholics, because even though I am a cradle Catholic, non-Catholics have played a significant role in my embracing Christianity seriously which in turn, re-led me back to embrace Catholicism. It is all about God, and Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Yes, Christ is first, but He leads us to the Father in a relationship that is as intimate as our breath. That depth of Grace is what we all should be pursuing. The "Ocean of Paperwork" was created solely because people questioned and asked for documentation throughout history. All Biblical understanding isn't limited to the Bible either. Use the same fair logic.

I admit that I am a sinner, but the Lord has changed me and lives in me now...and thus I have been changed from damned sinner to sanctified saint. not that I invincible to sin, but that the Lord is guiding me to do His work. and Al...the more I think about it, the more I don't know to think its so cool any more. but oh well, I'm honored nonetheless.
