Guest JeffCR07
Just a quick question: I know that we cannot receive the Eucharist if we are in a state of mortal sin, and it is, in fact, a mortal sin in and of itself to receive when you know you are in a state of mortal sin. Does the same go for Adoration? I know that the two are very different, but wouldn't it be irreverant to enter into His Presence knowing that you are in a state of mortal sin, and, if that is true but you do it anyway, is THAT a mortal sin? Not a super-pressing question, but I just something I was wondering about. Thanks! - Your Brother in Christ, Jeff
cappie
Remember the story Jesus told about the Pharasee and the Tax collector. He (the tax collector ) entered the presence and said "God be merciful to me a Sinner" Of course if you are in a state of mortal sin you should go to confession however if you can't that would be no reason to be absent from adoration as by your presence you show your sorrow.
