Luigi
A Prayer Intention was posted saying the Benedictine sisters of Ferdinand, IN had been robbed. The poster had received an e-mail asking for donations. I've checked the sisters' web page and their Facebook page. I find nothing about them having been robbed. It may be that the robbery happened a while ago and I just didn't look far enough back in their news feed, but it may also be that some crook is using the sisters to scam donations out of well-intentioned people. If I were you, I'd check with the sisters before I sent a donation. Of course, that could lead to the problem of them saying "No, we weren't robbed, but we would still love your donation!" tinytherese
Well that's odd. I didn't send a donation, just prayers for them. I got a letter, not an email. I wondered why they contacted me. I live in Iowa and don't know anyone in that area. Edited July 23, 2016 by tinytherese
