The LGBT community has a great marketing department

Businesses fly rainbow flags. Gay pride parades are everywhere. Facebook profile pics are changed to rainbows. Etc.

Major corporations publicize their contributions to the LGBT cause.

All this because of a group of people's sexual preference.

Black people, Native Americans, undocumented immigrants, women in Muslim countries (and other groups of oppressed people who have issues a lot bigger than who they have sex with) should all hire the LGBT's vice president of public relations.

When is the last time a major corporation flew a flag or threw a parade for one of these groups of people?

I'm not hating. I'm just saying. Good marketing gets people to notice.

I wonder which will be next?  I'm thinking polygamists will have an easier time than pedophiles.

It's because it lets white people feel solidarity with a victim group without dealing with any of that uncomfortable white guilt that makes the self satisfied feeling less... Satisfying.

As usual with corporations, there is a financial reason they support LGBT rights.

Statistically, homosexuals tend to trend young demographically, historically are open to new products, fashions, etc., and are more likely to be two-income families with no children, or fewer children, and thus have more disposable income to spend on the company's products/services.

Obviously these are all generalizations and don't apply to every homosexual person. But, marketing campaigns of any type tend to use generalizations.

When will the corporations realize that Catholics and evangelical protestants comprise about half the population and fear our numbers and bend over backwards trying to get and keep our business?
