NadaTeTurbe
I need to find if a book writed by a pseudo-mystic (who had some success) in 1880 was in the Index. I found sources saying that it was condemned by the Church, nothing more. Do you know where I can find a list of books in the Index ?
Amppax
Here's a list of all the books on the list circa 1948. What is the book you're looking for? http://www.cvm.qc.ca/gconti/905/BABEL/Index Librorum Prohibitorum-1948.htm Edited June 16, 2016 by Amppax
NadaTeTurbe
"Annales de Loigny" Writed by the "Communauté des épouses du Sacré Coeur de Jésus Pénitent" (other writer possible : Mathilde Marchat, Sister Marie-Geneviève du Sacré Coeur, Louis Glénard). But it is not really a book, more a kind of magazine. It must have been put in the Index after 1888 (the mystic, Mathilde Marchat, was excommunicated and her congregation dissolved this year, the Annales began to be published after 1888). Thank you for your link ! It will be usefull for the future. RIght now, I can't find it, but I looked quickly. In a few week, I will be able to access a book in wich I hope to find more information, I'm sure the condemnation will be in it.
enitharmon
I think it is listed on the Index. On the page Amppax linked to, there is an entry for "Annales (Les) de Loigny, paraissant le 1er vendredi de chaque mois. 1890"
NadaTeTurbe
Yes ! And two more : Vérité (La) sur les condamnations, qui frappent Mathilde Marchat à Loigny au diocèse de Chartres et les partisans de ses révélations.1890 and Question (La) de Loigny au 28 février 1890; nécessité pour tous d'un appel à sa sainteté Léon XIII. Thank you both of you ! I think I'll use Amppax link in the future. God bless !
