I'm curious to know which is worse to you folks, being an atheist or a homosexual?

If your child came to you and said, "Dad, mom, we need to talk", what would be your worst fear in this context?

None. My whole family is atheist, so... My worst fear would be : "Mom, I am gay/atheist/whatever, but I was too afraid of you to tell you." My parents are amazing, but strict and close-minded, and I can't be honest with them. If one day I have children, I want trust between us.

Atheist. Being a homosexual isn't a sin in and of itself. Only the sexual acts are where the sin is. An atheist especially a militant atheist is condemning themselves to hell if they actively reject God and influence others to reject God.

You folks? Humm

Neither. Would I like to hear either one or the other, no. Both are a rejection of God in some manner. I would be concerned with the welfare of their soul. But I would never be afraid to hear my child to tell me how they feel.

I would fear hearing my child wanted to do physical harm to themselves or others. Because that would actually be cause for fear.

Would you have preferred "you Catholics"?

How is wanting to physically harm themselves different from spiritually harm themselves in your perspective? Wouldn't embracing atheism or having any views that diverge from the official doctrine be enough to cause that kind of self harm?

I reject all gods, not just yours. Does that mean I'm going to all hells? Is there some weird quantum thing going on in the afterlife? The world of religion is bigger than Catholicism or even Christianity for that matter.

Though I do like Anubis, he looks interesting.

That smells of elderberries. My mother is a believer but I don't talk to her about religion much, it never ends well. ;)

That's a nice quote, it clearly and succinctly demonizes people who diverge in their views very nicely. :popcorn2:
