dUSt
As science progresses, it seems more and more likely that animals such as the woolly mammoth, saber tooth tiger, dodo bird, Tasmanian tiger, etc could be brought back to life. Should they?

Luigi
Dinosaurs, no. The environment in which they lived is gone. More recent extinctions like the dodo and the passenger pigeon, I'm not sure.

CatherineM
My forestry minor was in genetics. I've always been fascinated by the idea of bringing back species. I'd say no to very old ones, especially those that could kill us. One's taken out by man, maybe. Moa would be my choice. Theres a great documentary on YouTube about the Germans trying to reverse engineer the Aurochs during the 30's.

Luigi
The thing is, running them into extinction was kind of tinkering with what God had made.

So is the synthesizing of medicines and vaccines if you want to go that route.
