Mary Catherine
Dear sisters in Christ, I am glad to inform you that my SD has finally agreed me to prepare for papers for the visa to Australia. However, at this moment the founding sister of the congregation told me she is alone now, so she can't accomodate me for a second visit. May be she can when she gets a few members in the future. Thus I can see it is really not easy to start a new congregation. I am quite confused, should I give up or look into another established congregation? Surely I can wait for her congregation to become stable, but the future is unknown. What would you do if you were in my shoes?
Nunsuch
Quite honestly, one person--or even two--do not constitute a "congregation." While it is possible that this may develop into a stable and actual community in the future, I would broaden my search if I were you, and would start by looking closer to home. Even if the others you look into do not turn out to be right for you, the experience can still be constructive and fruitful.
NadaTeTurbe
I think it could be usefull for you, if you can, to learn a lot about canon law and religious life, so you can learn about the difference between private and public vow, what is a religious congregation, what is a private association of the faithful, a public association of the faithfull, a society of apostolic life, etc... If I was you, I would look around you for communitie. They may be around your nose. Also, this project of congregation is traditionnalist, right ? And your Spiritual Director is traditionnalist (I may be wrong, I think I remember that) ? It may be usefull for you to have advices coming from a more mainstream priest or religious. Mary Catherine
To NTT, yes, I am a traditionalist, and my SD says mass in both forms. Well, there are some mainstream priests trying to help me.

I don't think I can edit the list though.
Gabriela
Super helpful list, @Orans. Thanks! @Mary Catherine: I agree with the others. You ought to broaden your search. Discerning with only community is foolish, because in the long run, you need to have seen more than just one community to know what fits you, and what is healthy. I don't think you necessarily need to give up on the Australian community, but you should visit several communities before applying anywhere.
