For those who haven't already figured it out, this is actually my article. It wasn't meant as anything like an opinion piece, but rather as a calm examination of the question at hand. My thesis was basically that whether or not we call the single life a vocation depends on what we mean specifically by both the terms "the single life" and "vocation."
