Lost Girl

It's a Canadian drama. I thought immediately after I posted that this is probably the wrong place to ask. Whoops. Here's the description from Google / Wikipedia:

Bo is a small-town girl on the run after a disastrous sexual encounter with her boyfriend ends with his death. Bo learns that she is not human, but a succubus, who feeds on the sexual energy of humans. She and her kind are members of the Fae, creatures of legend, who walk among humans and feed off them in different ways. As she searches for the truth about her origins and runs from her inhuman urges, she vows to help those she meets along the way -- human or Fae -- who need to right a wrong.

There are sirens and wolf people and all kinds of things. It's a complicated, twisty plot line that I've really enjoyed as a break from real life. There are several humans who are primary players in the story of Bo. It's fun.

It really sounds like a Laurell K. Hamilton books ! (she's the writer of the Annita Black series - it's very good bit lit, with a badass heroins, many different kinds of monsters, lot of action and romance. Very good until book 10.)

At first I thought you were talking about the movie with Ben Afflec. That was Gone Girl. I had to Google to remember the correct name.

The Gone Girl book and movie are disturbing but so good. Also the other book by the same writer, "Sharp Objects" is the kind of book where you can't sleep alone after reading it.

Yes I've watched the first two seasons - entertaining but there is some graphic content in it.  I'm guessing Canada is more lax with what they allow to be broadcasted.

Maybe slightly, but in general our ratings coincide with the American system. There are some cases where we go 14A where you go R, but not terribly many.

I just looked into it to see if it might be the next show I watch on Netflix. It looks... erm... very sexual. Those of you who watch it: What do you see in it, from a Catholic perspective?

I KNOWWWWWW. I rewatched the last couple of episodes from the previous season to really remember all the details. As you know, there are SAH MANY details that it's easy to forget all the connections and fine points. SO MUCH EXCITE.

Cool! I'll have to look into her. If she's anything like this series, I bet I would like her stuff.
