Congregation of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary- all priests?

Hi!

I'm organizing a display of vocations materials (not for myself, thus the reason I'm asking about a men's congregation), and we have a lot of stuff from the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, which was St. Damien of Molokai's congregation.

Here's their website: http://www.sacredhearts-sscc-usa.com/wp/main/

BUT- I can't seem to figure out whether they all become priests, or some are just lay brothers. The display is roughly divided into Priests, Brothers, and Priests/Brothers, so I really need to know.

Can anyone help?

They have both priests and brothers - and sisters. Here's a link to their Irish-English website, where there's more on the About Us page http://www.sacred-hearts.net/

Incidentally, be careful about saying things like "some are just lay brothers", which can sound disparaging of a brother's vocation. (And I'm sure you didn't mean it to sound like that, but that tiny word "just" can sound disparaging) I know some very well educated and capable men who are brothers, including some who have joined orders with both priests and brothers and chosen to be brothers, because they feel called to that order, but not to priesthood. They've clearly done a very in-depth and focussed discernment.

Thank you!

And thanks for making that point. I didn't mean "just" in a disparaging way- I've been thinking, "These men are just religious. These men are just priests. These men are both." for the purposes of organization for several hours today, so I naturally worded it that way!
