BarbTherese
My kitchen is being changed around and the microwave is a problem. About the only other place I can put it is next to my free standing stove unit (gas burners at bench level, oven underneath). Is the microwave near the gas burners (about 1ft inbetween) ok? I have researched on Google without much luck and I need a place for the microwave that is not going to cost, just a simple matter of shifting the unit with bench space the problem, also location of power outlets. I understand that I just might HAVE to leave it where it is - and where it is in a safe spot, although an awkward one. Thank you for your help. BarbTherese
Stop Press! More thought and some compromising with my ideal notions, putting them aside to think some more. I have found a place to put the microwave, a bit awkward but not too bad and all I need do is plug in to the electrical socket when in use and switch off and take the plug out when not in use. It does mean that the microwave is probably about 3ft. from my stove and gas burners and therefore I am presuming a quite safe distance in-between the two? I have an added unexpected advantage (since the microwave opens right to left) to have bench space beside the microwave.........edit: and it has just occurred to me too, putting imagination to work, that I also have bench space in front of the microwave. BarbTherese
Thanks Gabriela, but I think the problem is no longer a problem. Microwave shifted today.
