Becoming a chaplaincy assistant

The ecumenical Christian chaplaincy at my university is looking for a part-time lay chaplain to assist the ordained chaplains. I'm not sure I could cope with it alongside the job I already have, but my spiritual director has encouraged me to try for it and I've been asking God for the opportunity to do some explicitly pastoral/theological work if it's His will, so I've decided to apply and see what happens.
