Starets
I have a Facebook contact who is also an orthodox monk. He is about to graduate with a nursing degree. He will soon be looking for a job in that field and is wondering if any Catholic hospitals would let him wear his cassock as part of his uniform.Any thoughts? Basilisa Marie
You'd have to ask the hospital.
Lil Red
I thought this was going to be about something else I should mention that I'm still breastfeeding - so nursing = breastfeeding in my world right now Edited March 17, 2016 by Lil Red

They probably know how to handle it. I don't know of any places like this though although I know the little Sisters of the Poor wear their habits in their nursing homes. I wonder if nursing scrubs come in brown?
beatitude
He could contact the Carmelite Sisters of the Sacred Heart in Los Angeles and the Religious Sisters of Mercy in Michigan for advice, as they have habit-wearing medical personnel. I think a lot would depend on the type of nursing he was doing and the clinical environment he was in. I can't see any hospital allowing a cassock in an operating theatre, but a community service might be different.
