Three Australians Hitchhiking from Louisiana USA to Mexico City...
Fr. Antonio took two Australian young women hitching from Louisiana in total Providence, according to the Words of Jesus "take nothing for the journey... no food, no sack, no money in their belts. They were, however, to wear sandals but not a second tunic.." (Mark 6:7-9). Their adventure captured on video gives a good representation of the Poor Friar's and Nun's work of Evangelization - taking the Gospel out to the existential peripheries of society Just as Pope Francis called for in his Apostolic Exhortation 'Evangelii Gaudium'.

There is something quite exciting about seeing a radical new order emerge. I love your poverty and enthusiasm, and am curious to see how this will develop as your order matures and the youthful enthusiasm and energy that is no doubt fueling much of this now begins to be complemented by the wisdom and grounding of experience. Just out of curiosity, I saw on your website that you don't touch, but there's also a picture of two sisters together posing with arms around each other here. Does the not touching extend to non-community members, or is it mostly no touching at all with anyone, similar to the missionaries of charity?

(Innocent little chuckle -hahaha..) As a community that was born in southern Italy, we would find that very hard to do as they all (and we all) KISS ALMOST EVERYBODY on both cheeks! (Something that we have found well received here in the southern Louisianan culture!) 

You may want to read our website a little better, as it says "We don’t touch and don’t want money*", not: "we don't touch"!

Maybe we've made a typographical error on the website that we've failed to see, so please inform us if maybe you read that "we do not touch" and we will rectify it as soon as possible. Thank you!
