Brother Adam
The Story you are about to hear is real. The names have been changed to protect the flustered. 1. Joe is baptized Catholic at 8 days old. Sally is baptized Catholic at 12 days old. 2. Joe is taken out of the Catholic Church at age 6 by his parents. Sally is taken out of the Catholic Church at 18 days old. 3. Joe and Sally are raised in Protestant Churches. 4. Joe and Sally are raised to believe the Catholic Church is in grevious error. But never make a formal or official declaration of renouncing the Catholic Church. They simple believe what they are taught. 5. Joe and Sally meet each other and fall deeply in love with each other. They are committed baptized Christians, fully open to life without any intent to use any contraceptives. They make a commitment to live with each other with no pre-nuptials. Divorce is not an option. They marry each other a Protestant Church under a Protestant minister. They believe their marriage is before God and they exchange vows. 6. Joe and Sally decide to become Catholic. Are Joe and Sally married 1)civilly? 2)validly 3)licitly 4)sacramentally ?
