What if you admit that you cannot answer a question without exposing a flaw in your argument?

Hmm. Jesus loves Latin more than He loves Aramaic or English? That is news to me. But hopefully both of us will one day have a chance to ask Him in person and settle the matter.

What happens if the Church decides to change her official language?

It seems like a rather weak argument. But I do not think that it is meant to be taken seriously. Is it really?

I think that link says that the exorcism rite is performed only in Latin. So one would naturally think that the devil would not want to hear Latin because during an exorcism Latin = exorcism. So either the devil does not like Latin or he does not like being exorcised. Or perhaps both.

The argument would be a bit stronger I think if during the exorcism the priest were to say "Dear Devil, would you prefer that I perform the exorcism in Latin or English?"  and the devil replied "Thank you for asking. I would much rather prefer that you perform the exorcism in English, because I really do hate the sound of Latin."

If that happens I will concede you the argument.

The link stated: He told me he had heard from exorcists who did exorcisms in Italian, Spanish and Portuguese (the only approved vernaculars for this Rite) that Latin was the most effective language

If the Church changed its language then the Church changes its language and that language becomes sacred because the Church has made it her own. And yes we can conclude Christ loves Latin above all other languages since the Church loves it above all other languages. We can conclude this because Christ always equates the Church with Himself.

Alright. I thought you might say that.

Then the logical conclusion would be that the devil hates Latin more than Italian, Spanish, or Portuguese. What does it tell us about the other 1000 or so languages in current use?

I assert here that the Devil hates English more than Latin because God has made man in His image, and God has allowed more of his people to converse in English than any other language.

That is also a silly argument.

I see. So something that is once sacred can cease to become sacred on the drop of a dime? Today Jesus loves Latin more than all the other languages, but if the Church changes Her official language then Jesus changes His mind? I suppose that Jesus also prefers that Latin Rite priests remain celibate and that Eastern Rite priests can marry? I suppose that Jesus also prefers the NO as the preferred form of the Latin Rite over the EF as well?

I think you see the point. When we talk about the Church being the mystical body of Christ that is not what we mean.

Eastern Rite priests cannot get married. Eastern Rite priests cannot get married. Eastern Rite priests cannot get married. Eastern Rite priests cannot get married.

Eastern Rite married men can become priests, but not bishops. Again, Eastern Rite priests cannot get married. If an unmarried man becomes an Eastern Rite priest he cannot then marry a wife.

Also if the wife dies the priest cannot get married again.

Thank you for informing our non-Catholic friends who may have misinterpreted what I wrote.

I assume that your post was not directed to me in particular because I already knew that and have previously stated as much on this forum.

What you wrote was "Eastern Rite priests can marry" and that is incorrectly written. It was merely a correction for you and clarification for anyone else that may read it and have thought Eastern Rite priests can marry.

It is much appreciated. I should be more mindful of my grammar.

I fail to understand the point of the blog post?  Especially this,

"And there are a lot of people out there, liberals mostly, who hate Latin."
