Not A Real Name Posted February 18, 2016 Author Share Posted February 18, 2016 I think we're missing a big point here and that is the Devil hates Latin because the Church (Therefore Christ) loves it and has made it her own. So either the devil does not like Latin or he does not like being exorcised. Or perhaps both. The argument would be a bit stronger I think if during the exorcism the priest were to say "Dear Devil, would you prefer that I perform the exorcism in Latin or English?" and the devil replied "Thank you for asking. I would much rather prefer that you perform the exorcism in English, because I really do hate the sound of Latin." If that happens I will concede you the argument.
