Amppax
I read this originally as God hates Latin. I was really confused.
DominicanHeart
I already knew this. That's why I love the Latin Mass so much. Now I need to learn the St. Michael prayer in Latin.

No, he had great difficulty with latin, struggled with it but to say he hated it would be false. Unless you have a source I am unaware of but I doubt he would have ever hated latin. NadaTeTurbe
Does this mean I am the devil ? Because after 7 years of mandatory latin, I can't stand it anymore.

NadaTeTurbe
I had to do it to avoid being in a class with bad students, and it did not even work... But I don't know one word of latin. Here you have to study english + another language (mandatory), and you can take an old language (latin, greek), but it's too much. I can't remember one word of latin, except for Harry potter spell ! I think it's fair to say Latin wasn't one of his great loves in life, and like any other student who struggles with a subject I'd imagine he had some powerful negative emotions toward it at some time or another. He was a very humble man who loved the Latin Mass. He said the Latin Mass the whole of his priestly life. Just because he struggled with latin doesn't mean he had hard feelings towards it.
