Big decisions

We are seriously considering taking custody of our granddaughter. Our adopted son and his girlfriend are both developmentally disabled and can't take care of themselves let alone a one year old. It's not the physical stuff, the baby is clean and fed and safe, but it's all the other stuff. Things like the mom getting her hair done rather than pay the electric bill. They recognize that they can't raise her and were thinking about giving her to a cousin in BC that wants to put her on tv.

This kid has the genes for schizophrenia on both sides of her family. Last thing she needs is the stress of casting calls. I've raised a child previously who also had the genetic predisposition and some pre-symptoms who avoided full developed, so I know how to raise a kid with this special needs. Our son would move back in with us. He thinks it's a good idea. The mom though thinks about children as property and I'm not sure she'll agree. 

I need prayers that we are making the right decision, that this is God's will, and that if it is, we won't have a fight on our hands.
