Hmm... I than sort of see that happening for some people. The only "big Catholic events" I've ever been to are pro life stuff and the LA Archdiocesan Youth Day, so I don't have much experience, but I can see how stuff like that would be less-than-helpful for a lot of people. I went to Ecclesia Campus last year - it was a kind of Youth Day for french students. The two days were amazing, but the aftermath horrible. I think I'm not strong enough in my faith to handle strong feelings. I'd better strengthen my faith in routine and pilgrimage to Lourde (I live next to it), and maybe in a few years I'll go to the WYD (I wish there was another in France ! I've heard so many vocation stories beginning with "At Word Youth Day in 1997..." Also, I think for you who are "torned" between orders, it will be a good occasion to meet and speak with various sisters from various orders, to see the diversity of the religious life in the Church, etc... Oh, I can definitely see that. When I was a little younger, the same thing happened to me after retreats.
