If you remain charitable, you can debate theology and argue against the Church until your head falls off.
WHOAAAAAAAAA I GOT 2 WARNINGS FOR debating against the modern Church, even when USING QUOTES BY THE CHURCH, now its OK to as long as its charitable??

Can i have those warnings off, this is a major double standard..

when you're Catholic: yes we admit there is a higher standard. people who hold the Catholic Faith ARE held to a higher standard. now, i know you're in a crisis (i'm praying for you
....:::::::...................
....IIIIIII..................
......IIII....................
.......I.....II ..............
.......I__I............
.......I....................
......II....................
i---I.......................)

but when you were Catholic, you were held to that standard. because as Catholics we know better than to diss the Church's teaching be it current or past, cuz it all adds up to the same Timeless Catholic Faith.

if you don't see yourself as Catholic anymore :( you're allowed to say whatever you want about the magisterium's current teaching. but Catholics are held to a higher standard, and we will not apologize for that.

Who is Morph RC? An old friend, or is it none of my business?

Anyway, don't be a hater. We all post things sometimes that are offensive to others. Hope you get everything figured out.

i can't see any of your warning logs or nothing, but from what you said it sounds like you were warned under these criteria:

Lack of Respect to the Religious- a post or comment by a Catholic that criticizes or shows lack of obedience to priests, bishops, cardinals, the pope, etc. (for obvious reasons, this doesn't apply to non-Catholics who are participating in interreligious dialogue)

again, though, i don't know your warn logs. but this is where the Catholics being held to a higher standard comes from.

It was over Development of Doctrine. and Dogma. Was one. I stated the Church prior VII, then reiterated it in my own words, but not as fancy. Ask dust or Ice, they gave me the warnings. Which are now deemed OK..

MorphRC,
Use a bit of maturity and tact. If you have a problem with being warned, contact and discuss it with the people who warned you. Discussing it in this thread with people who don't know the context or details is unfruitful conjecture because it isn't going to answer your questions and is only serving your need to criticize people without speaking to them directly. ;)

Morph, you were warned on both occasions for comments about the "old church" being better than the "new church", whatever that means.

Let me know if you want your name changed and if I should put you in the non-Catholic group.

And why not?

Are Catholics not permitted to question things about their own Faith? If not, then how will they grow in understanding?
Seems to me someone may have misinterpretted morphRC's intent in his posts. Perhaps if his questions had been answered rather than having been smacked with a warning, he might not be experiencing a crisis in his faith.

Likos also received an unjust warning. It was deemed a personal attack, but it wasn't an attack at all. I've been far more personal and vicious in some of my posts and have never received a warning. I simply calls 'em like I sees 'em.

Pax Christi. <><
