For My Patients

I'm working in a child and adolescent psychiatric intensive care unit and right now things are very difficult on the ward. Tonight two girls made suicide attempts and as staff were busy administering medical treatment to them the other teenagers got very restless and in some cases aggressive, particularly the young woman whom I was assigned to support. She's struggling to trust me because I'm new to the unit. Please pray for all the young people in my care, that I may meet their needs as best I can, and help them to feel at home and safe while they're with us. Pray also that suitable follow-on placements will be found for the patients we have who are ready to leave intensive care but who don't yet have anywhere to go.
