superblue
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086730/ ( quality tv, with morals, and intrigue ) http://www.fox.com/watch/568677955649/7766097408 ( lazy tv, with sex appeal and trying to portray evil as interesting and funny ) Sad over all. I seriously doubt that foxs' new show Lucifer will make it a full season let alone get a second season, it is one of these hey lets throw something together an throw it at the wall and see if it sticks, things that people who have the money can now do and probably do not expect the show to last long either. It would take tv producers and tv executives to use too much brain power to actually come up with a winning show similar to Highway to Heaven. It isn't that far fetched to have a faith based tv show. I hate the cheese religious movies with a passion because it is just too sparkly and sweet, or the actors are just over doing things as ever modern Batman actor does when he puts on the Batman costume and starts talking. IT would be interesting and I might do this later today to try and form a decent email and shoot it to Fox . Why not. They should be embarrassed for cranking out croutons too often. BG45
It's not throwing things to see what sticks, actually. It's based on the comic book series of the same name, about Satan. Not that, that makes it better.

I could careless if it is based off a comic book, an still stand by that tv producers or whom ever are throwing things to see what sticks, if they ripped it off from a comic book, that is just where they got the idea from. I miss quality tv programing and TGIF, I miss the 80s and early 90s. I think I will take a page from south park and find some star trek nerds to build me a time machine and go back to the 3rd grade. BG45
Well, maybe they are. I'm just thinking that if they are doing that, then it's because the comic has proven to be a success, and therefore, they're more likely to take a gamble on it. Ash Wednesday
Superblue, I hear you, as an 80s kid myself. While the 80s weren't totally squeaky clean, in general, wholesome values has been replaced with cynicism. I don't see a lot of prime time US television now that I'm overseas, but it doesn't sound like I'm missing out on much. Hubby and I mostly just watch movies, some hockey, the news and factual channels like Quest TV (UK channel owned by Discovery)

Hubby and I mostly just watch movies, some hockey, the news and factual channels like Quest TV (UK channel owned by Discovery) The Walking Dead is one of the few to watch, THOUGH they have shtick now which is to eventually kill off every character of the Rick Grimes team until I guess it just boils down to Rick, Carol, and Judith being the lone survivors of the original group. An just a heads up, NEVER , get into a dialogue about this show with the comic book fans of the show, the comic book fans of the show are 1 trillion times worse than any socialite snob one has ever come across. An if you dare ever say anything critical about the show in any shape or form you will suffer their scoffing and whining. So just stay away from the AMC forum, and TWD after show, with Chris Hardwick is HORRIBLE that bagger Chris Hardwick sits there with his never ending grin of how amesome everything is and the sucky guests who were picked who only knows and asking the actors who sometimes pop up questions that they can't answer because the show is still on going so you only get vague answers. The end . An they should have never killed Shane because he was the only dirt bag who had any sense, but nooooo gotta kill everyone off cause that is how it was in the comics and we don't want our comic fans to be disappointed. The End Again !
