chrysostom
My sister's little baby girl has been safely born and weighs a healthy 3.47 kg/7.65 lbs. Thank you for the prayers. I saw the pictures, she's completely adorable and has my mother's eyes.

chrysostom
My sister-in-law's little one is a few days past due, amniotic fluid is low but heartbeat is fine. She just received an inducement treatment and is waiting around for labour to start. If labour still doesn't start within 12 hours she'll get another inducement treatment. My week-old niece is just fine and still is as cute as a button.

chrysostom
My new nephew was just born, no name yet, at 9 lbs 2 oz. After two inducement attempts, a broken water, and seventeen or so hours of labour, the baby only made it partway, so she went to hospital and had a C-section. That happened about an hour and a half ago. They had to clear a lot of gunk out of his nose and mouth, but he is doing just fine and both mother and child have no problems. They are spending two more nights in the hospital though. Thanks be to God I am actually close by this one - my niece is across an ocean - so I can see him soon. I'm just about to go out to bring some food over. Thank you so much for the prayers!
chrysostom
So actually labour was not seventeen but twenty-eight hours apparently. I held my nephew for a long time and kissed him on the cheek a few times while he slept quietly. He's basically a 9 lb blob. He doesn't cry very loud and he's obviously very cute. Sister-in-law is recovering from the C-section and all in that family unit are exhausted but happy. She can leave the hospital Thursday evening, unless there are complications. None apparent so far which is wonderful.
