Powerball

I don't believe in luck. If they sold luck by the pound at the grocery store, I still wouldn't have any.

But I do believe in providence. And the Powerball jackpot is up to $8 HUNDRED million. So I bought a ticket figuring that if God wants me to be rich, I have to do at least that much. And I usually do the least I can.

Now the problem with the lottery is that the more you win, the more the government takes. So if I win $800 M, I'll get to keep only about $552 M (hardly worth it, knowadda mean?).

BUT! I hereby pledge in front of all you virtual witnesses that, if I do win, I will donate at least a-nickel-ninety-eight to dUSt so he can buy some fancy bells and whistles for Phatmass. Anyone care to join me in taking the pledge?

Though you now have more of a chance at winning than those who do not buy a ticket.

I don't believe in luck either, but I do know God is not going to grant me any amount of significant money via gambling or lottery to make it easy living for me, just for the simple fact we both know the arsejackery things I would do with the money in some fashion or another.

But I am looking forward to seeing the chaos that will ensue when at least 5 people win, an it will be hilarious if any of them went in on some joint purchasing of tickets and the impending lawsuit of who gets what, and watching who burns through their share the fastest.

so the odds of winning are zero if ya don't at least one ticket, and the odds are not much better than that if ya only buy one, so exactly how much does one have to invest, to get around to at least half a chance of winning. tell me internet !

I am saving my cash for two more comic books I want instead. it'll last longer that way at least in terms of enjoyment.

Not A Real Name

I don't bother playing the lotto, since I struggle enough with sin being poor.  Me asking God to be rich is like asking Him to throw me in a shark tank with chum attached to me.  Nothing against being extremely wealthy, I just know it's a cross I can't carry, lol.

I've never bought a lottery ticket. I decided when I turned 18 to pledge never to buy one, because I know people who buy them weekly and put all their hopes into them rather than God.

However, my parents and sister bought tickets, and I'm certainly open to sharing in their wealth should they win. :|

This is the first time I ever bought one for a huge jackpot. The only reason is I was cashing in scratch offs. Which I got as stocking stuffers. I never buy them myself.

Lottery tickets are a tax from people who do not understand statistics. And I guess also from people who enjoy rather odd pastimes... :P

I mean, play it if you want. But over time, statistically, you lose.

I decided not to play the lottery because having that much money might just be a bother.. And who knows how it might affect my salvation. Best to not presume :)

I matched NOT ONE NUMBER!

OH well, I didn't really expect to win anyway.

And BTW, I buy only one ticket for any given drawing, and the jackpot has to be over 100 million. Cuz I don't want to be a little bit rich - that really would be a bother. If I'm gonna be rich, I wanna be filthy, lousy, STINKIN' rich.

I buy lotter ticket every week and I'm not ashamed :D If I ever win, I'll buy a nice farm for my parents, and give the rest to the Elhers Danlos Syndrom NGO. I always win monney at poker and other kind of game, and I don't even understand the rules of Poker, so I'm a lucky player. I tell myself I make my newsdealer rich !
