For women with contemplative vocations: You may be interested in the Discalced Paulicrucian Nuns of the Primitive Observance (Order of St. Paul of the Cross) now opening a monastery and novitiate under the authority and auspices of the Diocese of Steubenville. They have both an Aspirancy Program for vocations over 18 and a Pre-Aspirancy Program for students 15-18 which is similar to those in European monasteries and minor seminaries (when its for men). What is the current canonical status of this community in Europe and the U.S., i.e. a public association or an institute of diocesan right, of which diocese?

Are you the only religious currently in this monastery? I see that the one sister visible on the website made final vows in the U.S. Was formation done in Latvia? How many Sisters are there still in Europe, and why only one sister (seemingly) in the U.S. foundation?

That's very nice, I thought Latvia was more protestant than catholic. But what is the difference between the Discalced paulicrucians nuns and the passionists nuns ?
