corban711
Yes, I have. In retrospect, that may not have been the best approach for me. But it was AN approach and I made it through. Haha! It can be easy and tempting to read the Bible as merely a historical document or just "to learn stuff" when you read it cover to cover. There's nothing terribly wrong with that I suppose...but if you are reading to support your new found love of God, I would highly recommend prayerfully reading the Gospels over and over again, and praying the Psalms while doing that. Then Acts, and then branching out through the rest of the New and Old Testaments. You will fall more in love with Jesus and the Father in getting to know Him in His Son, and then you will find Him in each and every page of the rest of Scripture as your relationship with Him develops. I'd either do that, or read a book like "A Father Who Keeps His Promises" by Scott Hahn or the Great Adventure Bible Series to help provide context and make sense of the rest of Scripture. I did pretty good until Leviticus. Then I did alright until 1 Chronicles. Some of it is pretty rough the first many times! Haha
