Pia Jesu
Wonderful news...especially given the fact that she once said, "If I ever become a saint, I will surely be one of 'darkness.'" Mother Teresa's journals reveal that she heard the voice of God on the train to Calcutta...but never again. Her Dark Night of the Soul lasted nearly 50 years! Praise God and His saints! What a model of perseverance--of living/seeing through the eyes of faith.

Indwelling Trinity
Me too.DS...I always wish that I would have had the courage to ask her more about prayer life and difficulties. She invited me more than once to write to her about it but somehow I never could seeing how busy she was and how many sisters who needed her counsel too. Now that she is in heaven, I talk to her often. Without a doubt if mother had not scooped me up right away when I was 18. I surely would have lost my faith; given the type of family situation I hail from. I know now in the depth of my heart that Mother did not call me to the MC's for any giftedness I had. Rather she called me because in me she could see poorest of the poor. I was one more gift she wished to give to Jesus. Bless the in all his saints big and tiny ones too Edited December 21, 2015 by Indwelling Trinity
Luigi
For the love of Pete! How many saints Teresa can one church sustain? Teresa of Avila, Teresa of the Andes, Theresa the Little Flower, Teresa of Calcutta, Theresa of Bingen, Theresa of Sweden, Theresa of Hungary, Theresa of South Mud Puddle. OOPS! They forgot to canonize Maria Theresa of Austria! I already can't keep their spellings or their countries straight; how I'm gonna keep up with another one, too? Vee, that is very rude to Indwelling Trinity. She is sick enough already, and now you wish tuberculosis on her? Of course, since she is Indwelling Trinity and a true Carmelite, she would handle TB with the good grace she has taken all her other burdens. When I feel depressed and sorry for myself, I think of her, because her burdens are far worse than mine. Vee--You'd better behave yourself, or I'm going to show your Phatmass posts to your future Community.

I guess now we can talk to Mother Teresa with her being in Heaven and not under any time constraints :D Edited December 22, 2015 by MarysLittleFlower
IgnatiusofLoyola
FYI--Indwelling Trinity was with the MC's as one of the cloistered nuns of the Order for many years. At some point (sorry I don't know exactly when) she became a Carmelite nun. Although she is currently under medical care, she has written in a previous post that she feels as much a Carmelite now as she did when she was wearing the habit. I know a little more of IT's story, but since, as far as I know, she has never posted it publicly on Phatmass, I will not do so. Suffice to say, I believe that IT is one of those who while they may be unknown, are true saints, and will go directly to heaven. Several years ago, when her health was better, and Phatmass Chat was very active, I was blessed to participate in a number of chats with IT and several other VS members. IT is not only holy and wise, but is also very fun with a great sense of humor. We are SO lucky on Phatmass that IT still posts once in awhile.
