German composer, Franz Biebl's "Ave Maria" (1964)...brought to the U.S. by the Cornell University Glee Club!  The video of Chanticleer's performance is amesome!

Make that descriptive..."amesome!" :oops: (Side note:  This was the one composition that Biebl wanted to hear--on his deathbed!)

There's a civil war in my parish about Il est né, because the traditional version says "Il est né le divine enfant, jouez hautbois, résonnez musettes" (He is born the divine child, play oboe, ring accordions !), and the "parish" version says "Il est né le divine enfant, jour de fête aujourd'hui sur terre" (he is born the divine child, day of feast today on earth). I don't know wish version they'll choose this year, but I don't doubt there was endless debates.
