DojoGrant
Adam, you should print that page out and present it to Father Don and talk it over with him.
Brother Adam
Well it better be figured out somehow, because at this point I have to say that I must postpone any reconciliation with Rome.

DojoGrant
Bro. Adam, I know this is a heavy burden. But I will ask you to remember that this sort of thing is what brought about the Anglican split. The Church is right all areas...but not this one? Pray and have faith and God will see that this is worked out. Your faith is great, so keep that faith and let it guide you. Brother Adam
And a second celebration? Hell no. It would be me mad as hell up at the altar. I don't see it as a reason to celebrate. Don't get me wrong though. I'm not "mad" at the Church.
IcePrincessKRS
Do you remember this thread? This isn't the first time this sort of discussion has come up, I had forgotten about it until just a little while ago. Brother Adam
Where's a true authoritative expert when you need them. This does bring up a good question: Who has the actually authority to put this question to rest if the priest can be wrong?
p0lar_bear
Each diocese has a marriage tribunal. The members are canon lawyers. They make the decisions when the pastor is unsure or if a pastor's decision is questioned.

Brother Adam
Can. 1060 Marriage enjoys the favor of law. Consequently, in doubt the validity of a marriage must be upheld until the contrary is proven.
BeenaBobba
Hi Bro. Adam, I will certainly pray for you and Teresa. Keep fighting the good fight, and please don't give up. Perhaps Satan is trying to keep you from Catholicism. Pray fervently. God bless, Jen

p0lar_bear
Hey, I was going to post that. No Fair!! Seriously, I think that is an important canon right now. Until it is officially determined otherwise, your marriage enjoys "the favor of law," i.e. is presumed to be valid.
