One of our former foster kids, the one who was burned almost a year ago in an attack, was assaulted again. This time he was stabbed four times and beaten. Once below the left shoulder blade, once in the lower abdomen, and twice in the right fore arm. They just missed arteries with the first two and cut a tendon in his arm. Don't know yet if there will be permanent damage. 

This kid was born addicted to crack, fetal alcohol so bad he's stunted and has weak bones. He weighs around 100 pounds so no threat to anyone but an easy target. He once got beaten so badly in a group home that he lost a testicle. His IQ is around 60, so he doesn't understand danger when he sees it. 

All he wanted us to bring him was a hot chocolate and Tim bits (donut holes). He's remarkedly chipper.  All he's ever known is chaos and pain so to him this is just another day at the office. 

Prayers that he heals quickly, and the police catch who hurt him.
