little2add
Let's not forget who the bad guy is here, it's the perpetrators of the massacre in California last week, not trump As it stands now and official explanation for this massacre has not been stated or explained By our government Trump was only grandstanding, his statement is only a comment for a political campaign. he said it would be unwise (dangerous) to bring in Muslims Until we know what's going on Furthermore both the terrorist were veted Before entering the country and this screening process Failed ( miserably) Trump is getting a lot of Free Press out of this. He's playing the press like a Stradivarius
dominicansoul
Let's not forget that while the liberals try their darndest to seperate jihad from Islam (hint, you cannot,) Hussein and his band of wolves are silently attacking the Catholic church (i.e. ever hear of the Little Sisters of the Poor?) Basically, offending Islam is off limits, forcing Catholics to go against their beliefs and consciences is not. But let's keep paying attention to what Trump says and ignore everything else
KnightofChrist
France to Shut Down up to 160 Mosques Raids reveal large stashes of weapons and ammunition PARIS (ChurchMilitant.com) - In the wake of the November 13 Paris terrorist attacks that claimed more than 130 lives, the French government is ordering up to 160 mosques to be shut down in the coming months. Raids have revealed large stashes of weapons and ammunition. The government's emergency powers grant it the right to take this extraordinary measure, and mosques that are unlicensed or have a history of "preaching hatred" are being singled out. One of France's chief imams, Hassan El Alaoui, said last Wednesday, "According to official figures and our discussions with the interior ministry, between 100 and 160 more mosques will be closed because they are run illegally without proper licenses, they preach hatred, or use takfiri speech." Takfiri speech involves sectarian slurs leveled by one Muslim against fellow Muslims. "This kind of speech shouldn't even be allowed in Islamic countries, let alone secure countries like France," El Alaoui said. Weapons and ammunition seized from a mosque Meanwhile, several of these mosques have been raided, revealing a "staggering" number of weapons and ammunition. Sunday, authorities conducted a raid on a mosque in Lagny-sur-Marne, 18 miles east of Paris, and uncovered 334 weapons and a large quantity of 7.62mm Kalashnikov ammunition, along with ISIS propaganda videos. Police also turned up recordings of chants "glorifying the martyrs of jihad linked to the terrorist organization Jabhat al-Nusra," the Syrian branch of Al-Qaeda. The chants were found among teaching materials for youth in a madrassa, or private religious school for boys, connected to the mosque. According to the prefecture of police, "No request was made to open a private school." Continue reading...

In the 1920's it was more famous for deportations than immigration. http://www.history.com/news/9-things-you-may-not-know-about-ellis-island And is this unprecedented? In 1980 Jimmy Carter went further than Trump has suggested by not only banning Iranians from entering the country but invalidating any existing VISAS. Additionally, all college students that were here on a VISA had to report to immigration offices at once to be deported.

Ice_nine
I don't think it really matters who is president. That's not really where the power lies. The power always lies with the people with the $$$ to lobby congress and change laws. I think it was @Credo in Deum who posted a cool little video once about how the opinion of the 99% has absolutely no effect on the actual laws enacted but it sure does for the top 1%. I'm too lazy to find it again, but it was true story.

We routinely lecture to those classes. Economy went south with the price of oil though. That actually means the universities are packed.

I love that in Texas, who we elect to govern the state actually does produce results...in the last gubernatorial election, we had a clear pro-life candidate vs a rabid abortion advocate. The pro-lifer won in a landslide. In fact, almost all the important positions in the state were filled by conservatives. The Governor has been instrumental in closing down almost all planned parenthood clinics in our state. They are so pissed, they've taken him to the Supreme Court, which will decide if its against our constitution to place hurdles in a woman's quest to kill her unborn child...(but all PP really cares about is the $$$$$$$$ they will lose.) In terms of pro-life issues, we would need a pro-life president in the next term. We are making strides to de-fund planned parenthood and we can't do that if the president keeps veto-ing prolife legislation that reaches his desk...also, we would have a friend in the White House who wouldn't bully the Little Sisters of the Poor and other Catholic charities who don't want to follow the unjust laws that have been enacted in this country regarding "health" care... Our candidates are far from perfect, but there are a few who I know (the good senator from Texas for example) who would do all he can to help pro-life causes. On this issue alone, it is very important who is president...

little2add
I find it hard to believe and government has not been able to determine the motive to the San Diego massacre Obviously it was premeditated The authorities discovered a bomb making factory at the killers residence The killers mother and grandmother denied any knowledge of the plot to kill innocent people. They should be arrested and charged with accessory to murder and terrorism. They denied any knowledge of the brutal killings. they denied any knowledge of the brutal terrorism and had no idea why this heinous crime was perpetuated. I say That is A lie or B/S ( pardon my French) Did anyone hear what Tom Cruse said today, about immigration. Ice_nine
I don't believe that a person against abortion is necessarily pro-life. And I still don't buy that it ultimately matters who is president. Sorry.

I say That is A lie or B/S ( pardon my French) Did anyone hear what Tom Cruse said today, about immigration. (He sounded a lot like trump ) The officials are simply dripping the information on this classic case of islamic terrorism. - The male killer wanted to perform jihad back in 2012. - He and his lovely wife both spoke of jihad before she ever set foot on this soil. - Enrique Martinez, a convert to islam, purchased the rifles in 2011 for Farook. - His mother lived in the same home with him, where he stored bomb making material. - A loan was secured weeks before this and monies distributed to his mother as well as cash withdrawn at the $10K mark (when withdrawing $10K in cash it is reported to the Feds - not this time.) - FBI has 2 years of online activity from Farook pledging to ISIS. It goes on and on along with the coordinated press event by the muslim brotherhood from CAIR and the misinformation provided by the media. The administration was hoping to use this event for gun control and thanks to Trump we can have dialogue and for many learn that non-citizens have zero rights to access our rights, our benefits and be allowed to put our fellow citizens in peril. Do they not realize that Islam is also a conservative faith with similar values as Chrisrianity on social issues like abortion and homosexual marriage? It seems that protecting Islam is the "in" thing to do in liberal circles and I don't get why.
