PTSD and starting therapy

I'm having difficulty with PTSD at the moment. I'm in a place that provokes a lot of bad memories. Please pray for my healing, and if it's God will, I want the opportunity to talk to someone here who was indirectly involved in what happened to me and who might be able to provide me with some closure - please ask Him to bring me into contact with her if it's good.

I should begin therapy just after Christmas. It's taken me a while to agree to it as I feel bizarrely guilty for experiencing PTSD over what happened to me, when the people I've worked with experienced it because of war - there is no comparing the magnitude of what happened to me and what happened to them, so it has taken time to reconcile myself to the fact that we have the same diagnosis. I have been telling myself that I wouldn't refuse medication for a migraine just because some people have brain tumours, so I managed to set up the first appointment.
