But its not.  Sadly, it's filled with people who have chosen it over God Himself.  That to me, is so much more disappointing and saaaad...

Yes, seriously.   The disappointment would be that justice wasnt served because heaven is so hard to get into.   What's mocking about that?

Maybe from a Calvinist standpoint...

This justice you are referring to is God's justice, which is always perfect. A Christian will understand that. So to say Christians desire for Hell to be well populated and that Christians will be disappointed in God's justice if not, is egregious.

Don't try to walk it back, or play stupid, man up. You meant to insult and belittle us. You are an intelligent person, intelligent enough to know Christians here don't want people to go to hell and are sadden that anyone would go to hell. You just thought you'd be funny with your mocking insult and you were called on your ####.

Come on. You're always on your high horse scolding us for having bad attitudes or not being thoughtful about our posts, and yet you give us that?

I recall hearing somewhere that even hell is a place of God's mercy, as shocking as that may sound.  He knew that there are souls who despise Him and His presence so much that He gave them a place to be free of Him as they so choose.

I also heard that there are some twisted "pleasures" in hell.

LOL.  Struck a nerve?

That is part of points in the parables of the Prodigal Son and the workers doing the harvesting and I think, there is a wedding guest parable as well....     It's human nature.  I'm saying there would be resentment of others getting reward that didn't seem to put in the long term effort.

Not that I'm saying I'm Jesus or anything.

Im not sure what you mean by this since all that is goodness and beauty and love etc comes from God, and as hell would be a place totally devoid of God it would also not have any of His attributes.  There would only be pain, misery and so forth.

Just follow the same advice you love to dish out so much to others, that's all I'm saying.

I think some Christians would be disappointed for the wrong reasons. It's human nature. One of my favorite rappers Jadakiss raps on the "Never Scared" remix "If the world was sucka free it would just be me and my ****** left" I think it's an inviting thought of Heaven only being the very best and being able to see your enemies suffering in hell. Father Barron quotes one of his favorite Saints in the video saying that one of the pleasures of Heaven is being able to see people suffering in hell. I get that. I've had those thoughts. I think it's justified to want hell to be populated with evil people for the right reasons. If it's not it makes you wonder just who God is cool with? Murderer's who don't repent should be in hell. There are are a lot of murderer's. There are a lot of rapist. The list goes on and on. I trust God though and realize there's alot we don't understand. God could forgive Hitler if somehow Hitler repented sincerely somehow in the very last moments. Do I want Hitler to be in Heaven? No. But If he was I would trust God made his soul right in the fires of Purgatory.

One of Martin Luther King's early sermons in the 50s was a powerful look at Dives and Lazarus, he noted how even after death Dives saw Lazarus as a servant, wanted him to come dip some water on his tongue. In other words the "great chasm" fixed between them in life was continued after death. MLK was connecting with racial segregation in Montgomery and how we create our hells by divisions and domination of others in life.

Like the movie Hellraiser, where pleasure and pain are indistinguishable? Seems like a plausible interpretation of hell.

Yeah, you're right Anomaly, Christians will probably be in heaven looking down at hell pointing at all the sinners and repeatedly saying "HA-ha" Nelson-style (especially to the child molesters/killers/planned parenthood doctors and members of ISIS)  :|

Actually, we are taught to offer up sacrifices for these sinners so they make it to heaven, so you're sooooo wrong in your attitude toward Christians...
