theotokos321
Just attended my first funeral at a Catholic church as a novice nun in the orthodox church. It was for a mother of one of our nuns here. We did the calling hrs and burial here at our monastery and funeral service at the local catholic church. This woman was not a member of this church (she had lived in FL and attended and moved to PA for her final months to be close to her eldest daughter at the monastery. ) she had 10 kids and died over 90 years old. She was a devout catholic. What was touchi touching was how this catholic church opened their arms to her, her family and to us orthodox Christians. We had 3 priests and 6 nuns of the orthodox church attend the funeral mass. It was nice to have unified worship of orthodox and catholics.
