I was willing to let it go (at least on this forum), but people kept on going at it. I am not a troll. Here is my blog if you don't believe me. It's pretty hard to prove who you are online, dude. Just linking to a blog isn't going to do it. That could be anybody's. I think it should be clear people are happy to welcome you into the Phatmass phamily and help you through your doubts and struggles if indeed they're real. But I second Ice's recommendation: Chill for a bit. Just hang with us. Show us who you are and let us get to know you. If these issues come up again for you, you can always raise them once more (hopefully in a calmer manner), and talk them out with us. In any case, in all the drama, nobody bothered to say: Welcome to Phatmass!
CoffeeCatholic
It's stuff like this that makes me feel called east. You know who's "law" this is? Not man's, not even the institution of the church, it's God's law that He gave us to help us love Him better and be closer to Him. Do you know who can really know if someone is married or not? Him. It's all a mystery to us, even as we try to bicker it out like little canon lawyers. Sheesh, we all look like we're in preschool trying to decide if the Suzy is allowed and able to ride the purple elephant toy. Let's get over ourselves and allow God to be God and His mercy to overflow. Which means get off your high horses. You're probably all wrong about the purple elephant and God is smiling about it until somebody starts throwing punches and hurting His kids. The fact that you can't fully understand one doesn't mean you shouldn't be able understand the other. If all you want to do is repeat "Obey" and expect me to listen, instead, why don't you explain how, if this the ruling is in fact something infallible, it changed. If you're able to blindly follow whatever the Church says even if it not only destroys your relationships, but you have no idea how the reasoning behind the matters that destroyed those relationships makes sense, then good for you, but I can't do it. "I'd rather change ANY of my opinions than leave the truth that Jesus gave and the Holy Eucharist." So you would change your opinion on abortion? If not, that is obviously not a true statement, because it excludes at least "some" opinions. Kevin, what I'm saying is that when we trust and look at the Church teachings with an open mind, we are more open to receive the grace TO understand them. That's all I'm saying. Like I said, I had to change almost all of my views and way of living. I would not have been able to without grace. I realized when I try to trust God and the Church, I'm more ABLE to receive grace to understand these things, or to accept them even if I don't understand. It changes the will. The last part you said makes no sense to me because I said I wouldn't leave the truth. My belief on abortion is the same as what the Church teaches. I'm not going to pretend some blasphemy that God and the Church would teach evil as good. I actually did have to change my view on abortion in my journey to Catholicism because I used to be pro choice.

MarysLittleFlower
Kevin here is my last advice to you. I feel like we're just going in circles. I can only advise what helped me. - make an appointment with a good priest. It's better than talking to people online. - stop reading stuff online especially stuff that makes you worried or confused. Concentrate on coming closer to God. - pray a lot and go to visit Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, and ask Him for the grace to understand and accept what the truth is. - pray for your sister - ask Our Lady for help. Ask her to obtain any grace that she knows you need and then open your heart. I can't say the number of times this helped me. But you need to try to be open and trust. We BLOCK ourselves from graces when we distrust. Just a point. I wish you the best. God bless you Edited November 26, 2015 by MarysLittleFlower
