NadaTeTurbe
Here is a little presentation of an unique order. I discovered it on liturgia.mforo, a forum about liturgy in Spain http://liturgia.mforos.com/1699114/8017341-habitos-religiosos-masculinos/?pag=12 Los Hermanos Fossores de la Misericordia were funded in Guadix (Spain) by Fray Jose Maria de Jesus Crucificado, the 11th de frebruary in 1953. The founder was a brother in the Congregacion de Ermitanos de San Pablo y San Antonia in Cordoba. He was inspired by another priest and by the book of Tobias (1, 16-18). The goal of the future congregation would be the two last works of mercy : to bury the dead and to pray for the living and the dead. THe first brothers were living in a house next to the cemetary, like they do today. There was many vocations, but with the crisis of the vocation of the last years, there's now only two houses, in Logrono and Guadix. There's no priest on this congregation, only brothers. They have a big life of community. Their life of prayers : Holy Eucharist, Liturgy of the Hours, Holy Rosary, Mental prayers. The city hall pay them for their manual work on cemetery. Apostolate include : helping and escorting families of the dead in this hard time of life, taking care of the cemetery and the graves. (Sorry if there's grammar fault, I'm mixing spanish with english...) Edited November 23, 2015 by NadaTeTurbe
